Ascend Program - Updated Structure and Requirements (Staff Only View)

The Ascend Program revamp focuses on enhancing agent accountability through updated class completion requirements, RGA participation, new financial policies, lead eligibility criteria, and stricter graduation policies.


Updated Class Structure and Requirements

Class Completion: All classes must be completed. Agents are allowed to take these courses as many times as desired. Current Ascend class list:

RGA (Redwood Growth Academy): Agents must participate in at least 2 sessions per week to stay engaged and eligible for leads.

Monthly Questionnaire: A monthly questionnaire will be implemented to track agent progress and engagement. The questionnaire is posted on this board: https://c21redwood.monday.com/boards/2780060782/views/156925863

General Office Engagement: Participation in the following activities is mandatory:

  • Sales meetings
  • One-on-one coaching sessions
  • CTX/Mastermind groups
  • Social events

Business Plan: A completed business plan is required for all agents.


Lead Eligibility and Graduation Policy

Ascend Team agents have tiered eligibility for company-generated renter and buyer leads through the Relocation Department. Lead eligibility requires the following:

  • Completion of the required core classes.
  • Completion of separate Relocation Department training.
  • Meeting performance benchmarks set by Century 21 Redwood Realty and the Ascend Agent Coaching Director.
  • Eligibility for leads is at the discretion of the Ascend and Relocation Directors and based on readiness, participation, certification, and performance.

Regular participation in Conversation Starters and Prospecting Hour is required to become, and remain, eligible for leads.

  • Graduation Requirement: Agents must close 3 sales and 3 rental transactions to graduate from the program.
  • Upon graduation, agents move from the 50/50 commission split to a 70/30 split and $24,000 Sliding CAP.

Schedule Overview

  • Daily Requirements (M-F):
    • Attend the Redwood Growth Academy sessions at least 2 times per week from 9:00 AM to 9:20 AM. Make sure to add the Redwood Calendar to the agent’s calendar for easy access to upcoming sessions.
  • Additional Office Engagement: Agents must participate in Tuesday Sales Meetings, company-wide events, training sessions, elective “Wednesday Workshops” with ASMs, and other company-wide training events available through the Training Calendar.

Field Responsibilities and Accountability

  • EVP/MPM/ASM Review: The EVP will review the Monday board (https://c21redwood.monday.com/boards/2780060782/views/163956909) to assess updates on agents at risk.
  • EVP/MPM/ASM Check-ins: Regular check-ins with the Lead Generation team will be conducted to monitor agent performance.
  • Agent Exceptions: EVPs will assess if agents are eligible for exceptions based on performance and participation.
  • Exit Procedures: If an agent is not performing or meeting requirements, the EVP/MPM/ASM will prepare a 15-day exit notice.

Updated Financial and Accountability Policies

  • AR Balance: Agents must maintain an AR balance that is no more than 6 months old, with an active credit card on file.
  • Agents will receive a 15-day notice, specifying the due date for payment. If the issue is not resolved within that timeframe, the agent will be deactivated or removed from the program. Any exceptions at this stage must be addressed by the EVP.
  • Non-Production Fee: After 12 months of no production, a $100 per month non-production fee will be implemented.

Key Program Dates

  • Relaunch: The Ascend Program will be relaunched at the Business Planning event on November 18, 2024.
  • Next Class Cycle: The new round of Ascend classes will begin on January 6, 2025.
