2025 Masters Cup Winners

May 2025 Market Update

2025 is making real estate headlines again with a rapid increase in listings. This means opportunity for more transactions; however, as inventory and volume of listings increase, here are a few things to be aware of:

  • Not all markets are functioning the same
  • Vendors get backed up, so plan ahead
  • Beware of Bright marketing statuses
    • When activating a private exclusive in BrightMLS, you must update your listing settings so the listing populates on IDX feeds!

Private Exclusive Listings

  • Zillow and Redfin have recently announced policy changes regarding Private Exclusive listings. Zillow’s position doesn’t affect office exclusives, but likely shuts down most consumers from wanting a new NAR status - Active, but do not share to internet. 
  • Anywhere Real Estate is continuing with its pursuit of a private listing network. While their endpoint is an Anywhere Exclusive Network (all brands), Anywhere is also advocating for full public transparency for consumers, as this would be in the best interest of most people. 

Remember, ONLY use Private Exclusives when it’s in your client’s best interest. You can access the required addendum here. For more information on marketing office exclusives, check out this handy guide. 

Atlantic Coast Mortgage Updates

ACM is now offering the Rate Saver + Program, which offers eligible ACM borrowers an opportunity to refinance with NO application or processing fees.* This allows buyers to find their dream home now and refinance in the future when rates are lower. Eligible borrowers will receive a lender credit toward their first refinance to cover the full amount of ACM’s standard application and processing fees. 

ACM Program Guidelines:    

  • The purchase loan must close with ACM between 04/15/2025 and 09/30/2025 
  • The borrower must make seven consecutive, on-time, monthly mortgage payments on the purchase loan before applying to refinance      
  • The offer is valid for one refinance only

Business planning tasks are now fully integrated in accessRedwood. You can add your tasks directly from your dashboard and then edit and update them all within the platform. Staying on track has never been easier! 

Introducing: Revolution Wealth 

Last year, we partnered with PB Mares for agent wealth management and retirement planning. We are continuing to offer this same benefit to agents but under a new brand. Brad Wilks from PB Mares has launched his own company, Revolution Wealth, that is designed to be the best financial planning option for agents. This exciting new relationship enables us to focus on Realtors (1099 contractors) and employees. Revolution Wealth will offer investment management, retirement planning, tax strategies, and more. With this launch, we also offer some exciting new benefits not typically available for real estate agents. These include accident insurance, critical illness plan, dental insurance, and life insurance. These supplemental insurance benefits are through Mass Mutual and will be handled by MWE. Open enrollment for benefits is from May 15th to June 30th, 2025, so be sure to make your elections before then if you plan on doing so.

In honor of that, and to change things up a bit, instead of the baseball game this year, we’ll be doing a DC United Soccer game in September this year.
