Real Estate CRM Contact Export Guide
This guide walks agents through how to export their contacts from the following CRM platforms:
- MoxiEngage
- RealScout
- Follow Up Boss
- kvCORE
MoxiEngage Contact Export Guide
Important Note: If the agent did not export their contacts prior to leaving their previous brokerage, Redwood Field Staff may need to contact Moxi directly to request access to the agent’s previous account and coordinate the export of their contacts.
Before You Begin
Before exporting contacts from MoxiEngage, make sure:
- You are logged into your MoxiEngage account
- You have permission to access and export contacts
- You know whether you want to export all contacts or a filtered list
- MoxiEngage exports contacts as a CSV file.
Step 1: Log Into MoxiEngage
- Open your web browser
- Navigate to your MoxiEngage login page
- Enter your login credentials
- Click Sign In
Step 2: Navigate to Contacts
- From the main navigation menu, click People or Contacts
- Your contact database will appear
Step 3: Filter Your Contacts (Optional)
If you only want to export certain contacts:
- Use the available filters or search options
- Filter by:
- Tags
- Contact type
- Groups
- Status
- Assigned categories
Review the filtered list before proceeding.
Step 4: Select Contacts
You can:
- Select individual contacts
- Select all contacts in your database
To select all visible contacts:
- Click the checkbox at the top of the contact list
- Confirm the selection if prompted
Step 5: Export Contacts
- Locate the Actions, More, or Export option
- Select Export Contacts or Export to CSV
- Confirm the export request
MoxiEngage will begin preparing your export file.
Step 6: Download the CSV File
Once the export is complete:
- Download the CSV file when prompted
- Save the file to your computer
Recommended naming format:
MoxiEngage_Contacts_Export_MMDDYYYY.csv
RealScout Contact Export Guide
Before You Begin
Before exporting contacts from RealScout, make sure:
- You are logged into your RealScout account
- You have the appropriate permissions to export contacts
- You know where you would like to save your exported file
RealScout exports contacts as a CSV file, which can be opened in Excel or uploaded into another CRM system.
Step 1: Log Into RealScout
- Open your web browser
- Go to the RealScout login page
- Enter your email and password
- Click Log In
Step 2: Navigate to Your Contacts
- From the left-hand navigation menu, select Contacts
- Review your contact list
- Apply any filters if you only want to export a specific group of contacts
Examples:
- Active clients
- Buyers only
- Sellers only
- Specific tags or pipelines
Step 3: Select Contacts for Export
You can either:
- Select individual contacts
- Select all contacts within the filtered list
To export all visible contacts:
- Click the checkbox at the top of the contact list
- Confirm the selection if prompted
Step 4: Export Contacts
- Locate the More Actions or Export option
- Select Export Contacts
- Choose CSV format if prompted
- Confirm the export
RealScout will begin preparing your export file.
Step 5: Download the File
Depending on your account settings, the export file may:
- Download automatically
- Be emailed to you
- Appear in your notifications area
Save the file to a location you can easily access.
Recommended naming format:
RealScout_Contacts_Export_MMDDYYYY.csv

General Guidelines for Account Transfers
When is a release needed?
A release is required anytime you want to:
- Transfer your account to a different brokerage
- Move from a brokerage-paid account to your own personal, individual plan billing
- Move previous contacts and data from a previous now closed account owned and paid for by a brokerage
Steps for you to request account release and what to expect

Request written approval
Contact your broker, office manager, or leadership team by email and ask them to confirm that they approve the release of the RealScout account you provided.

Include Support on the request
Send the approval email and CC RealScout Support at support@realscout.com so RealScout can receive the account release permission.

Completing the transition
Once written approval is received, RealScout's Member Support will guide you through the next steps, whether transferring the account or setting up individual billing, while keeping your contacts and data intact.

Follow Up Boss Contact Export Guide
Before You Begin
Before exporting contacts from Follow Up Boss, make sure:
- You are logged into your Follow Up Boss account
- You have permission to export contacts
- You know whether you want to export all contacts or a filtered group
Follow Up Boss exports contacts as a CSV file.
Step 1: Log Into Follow Up Boss
- Open your browser
- Navigate to Follow Up Boss
- Enter your login credentials
- Click Sign In
Step 2: Navigate to People
- From the left-hand menu, click People
- Your contact database will appear
Step 3: Filter Your Contacts (Optional)
If you only want to export specific contacts:

Use the filters at the top of the page
Filter by:
- Stage
- Source
- Tags
- Agent
- Date added
- Smart Lists
Confirm the list contains the contacts you want exported.
Step 4: Export Contacts
- Click the checkbox near the top left of the contact list
- Select all contacts if needed
- Click the More button
- Select Export People
Follow Up Boss will begin generating the export.
Step 5: Download the CSV File
Once complete:
- Follow Up Boss will either:
- Download the file automatically
- Send the file to your email
- Save the file to your computer

kvCORE Contact Export Guide
Before You Begin
Before exporting contacts from kvCORE, make sure:
- You are logged into kvCORE
- You have export permissions enabled
- You know whether you want to export all leads or filtered contacts
kvCORE exports contacts as CSV files.
Step 1: Log Into kvCORE
- Open your browser
- Navigate to your kvCORE login page
- Enter your credentials
- Click Log In
Step 2: Navigate to Smart CRM
- From the main navigation menu, click Smart CRM
- Select Contacts
Your contact database will appear.
Step 3: Apply Filters (Optional)
Use filters if you only want to export a specific group of contacts.
Examples include:
- Lead status
- Tags
- Campaigns
- Assigned agent
- Source
- Date range
Review the filtered results before exporting.
Step 4: Select Contacts
You can:
- Select individual contacts
- Select all contacts in the list
To select all contacts:
- Click the top checkbox within the contact table
- Confirm the selection if prompted
Step 5: Export Contacts
- Click the Bulk Actions menu
- Select Export Contacts or Export to CSV
- Confirm the export
kvCORE will generate the export file.
Step 6: Download the Export File
- Wait for the export process to complete
- Download the CSV file when prompted
- Save the file to your computer
Recommended naming format:
kvCORE_Contacts_Export_MMDDYYYY.csv
Important Notes
- Large databases may take time to export
- Some automation history or behavioral tracking may not transfer to another CRM
- Review duplicate contacts before importing elsewhere
Best Practices After Exporting Contacts
Review Your CSV File
After exporting:
- Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets
- Confirm names, emails, and phone numbers transferred correctly
- Review for duplicate contacts
- Remove outdated contacts if needed
Backup Your Original File
Always keep a backup copy of your original export before making edits.

Prepare for Import Into a New CRM
Before importing into another system:
- Review field mappings
- Confirm tag formatting
- Verify phone numbers and email formatting
- Remove unnecessary columns if needed
